Alert Types

Well-configured alerts can be a powerful tool for keeping you informed about any changes in your portfolio scoring, company scoring, or a company's specific financial metrics.

Why do you need an alert?

Setting up alerts is crucial because the financial landscape is constantly changing. Companies and stock values fluctuate, affecting their attractiveness and investment potential.

Keeping up with these changes manually across many stocks can be daunting, which is why our alert system is valuable. It monitors the market daily and notifies you of significant changes to help you make informed decisions quickly.

Depending on which tool or feature you are using, you can create alerts that are important to you depending on what you'd like to stay up to date on.

Main Alerts View

If you'd like to set up and manage alerts from one place, you can do so via the Alerts page.

Once you're in this view, you will see all alerts you have created for the 3 alert types:

  • Scoring Model

  • Company Score

  • Metric Value

If you wish, you can also create a new alert by clicking the '+ New Alert' button at the top right of the page.

Let's go into more detail about each Alert Type.

Scoring Model

In this alert type, you can choose to receive notifications about changes for your Top X companies or threshold changes from '>=' or '<=' within a specific scoring model.

Choose the rule category from Total Score, Growth, Valuation, Fundamentals, Momentum, or Required.

Alerts about changes to Top Companies can come in handy when a top company is replaced by another, which can, at times, help you find an undervalued stock.

Company Score

This alert will notify you about Category changes to a company within any scoring model of portfolio you choose.

Select the Category and choose if you want to receive the notification in the event the score changes from High or Low.

Metric Alert

Emails you when the metric values you've selected change under/over the thresholds you've set.

Select the metric you want to monitor, whether the metric is more than or less than a value you specify.

Alerts from the Company Details Page

Navigate to the company details page by searching for the ticker or clicking on the company from your scoring model for which you'd like to create the company alert.

From there, click on the company you want to set it up for.

You will see a bell icon at the top right corner of the Company Details page. Click this button to open the alerts window.

Once you decide which alert type you want and have entered your alert settings, click Add New Alert to finish.

You will then see the alert list, which allows you to toggle the alert on/off or completely delete it.

See the figure below.

Alerts from My Portfolio

If you are using a particular portfolio and want to stay on top of a particular company or more, you can set up alerts for those holdings within your portfolio.

Like the company detail page, you can also set an alert for a % score or metric value change.

To set the alert from your Portfolio in the company list, hover over the company you want to set up the notification until you see a little bell appear.

Click on the bell to open the alert settings window and follow the same steps to set up an alert.

Alerts from Multi Charts

You can also set similar alerts as above by clicking the bell towards the middle of the page from the Multi-Chart view.

Alerts from Master Chart

You can also set up an alert for a company via Master Charts.

To do this, click on the 3 stacked buttons to the right of the company, then select, manage alerts, and follow the similar steps outlined in this section.
